- Responsible for legal advice on complex intellectual property issues.
- Prepares legal documents, settlement agreements, written reports, presentations and updates relevant to a global executive audience.
- Communicates with parent company, outside contacts, including outside counsel, partner companies, industry representatives, governmental representatives, and other parties as needed.
- Pursues and maintains most current knowledge of company business, products and technology.
- Builds cross-functional relationships with business teams as well as other internal stakeholders.
- Develops and delivers training materials for internal audiences, but could also include external audiences.
- Communicates with and directs outside contacts, including outside counsel and consultants, on intellectual property matters.
- Assists with other IP tasks in support of company objectives as needed.
- Assists with budget development and global compliance.
- May have direct or indirect responsibilities for leading and developing a team.
