General maintenance, service technician Job Purpose: Services automobiles by ascertaining and completing service requirements; maintaining customer rapport; maintaining service standards and records. Duties: *Perform lube oil and filter services on customer vehicles. tire service and repair, inspections etc...... * Ascertains service requirements by listening to and clarifying customer's complaints and request's; conducting inspections; examining service schedules and records. * Completes service requirements by changing oil; checking and adjusting tire pressure; lubricating joints and undercarriage; replacing filters; testing and adjusting belts; filling fluid levels; evaluating tire wear and alignment, and windshield wiper wear; tightening loose assemblies and connections; tuning engines. * Maintains customer rapport by answering questions and concerns; noting potential problems that need to be addressed. * Maintains quality service by following service standards; conducting final inspection; correcting deficiencies; obtaining approval from customer. * Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. * Maintains safe work environment by adhering to work standards and practices. * Documents services by completing records.
