Naval Sea Systems Command ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in Keyport, Washington

Summary

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the TEST AND EVALUATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL UNDERSEA WARFARE CENTER DIVISION KEYPORT (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).

Responsibilities

You will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of electro-mechanical repair to include motors and actuators.

You will plan, prioritize, work-load and estimate the material for procurement and scheduling.

You will anticipate requirements and asses risks associated with start up work.

You will demonstrate the ability to be versatile and innovative in adapting, modifying, or making compromises with standard guides and methods.

You will provide advice and guidance to officials, managers, and internal and external engineers, covering a broad range of engineering activities.

You will perform technical/engineering work on major projects, assist engineers on specific design problems, resolve critical problems or develop new approaches or methods.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a wide range of technical engineering principles in support of Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) systems and equipment.
