As an Operations Shift Manager at our Kewdale Delivery Station, you'll take ownership of the daily operations within your shift, driving efficiency and ensuring customer orders are delivered on time, every time. Your leadership will empower your team to go above and beyond to meet customer expectations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire Supervisors and your team of associates to meet daily performance goals.

  • Promote a strong Health and Safety culture, ensuring all team members adhere to safety standards.

  • Collaborate with support teams such as Safety, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to meet and exceed business objectives.

  • Engage in active, hands-on work, lifting and moving items up to 23 kg, standing and walking for up to 10 hours per shift.

  • Maintain a work-life balance with our 4-on/3-off shift pattern, with shifts running from 3:00am to 1:00pm. This schedule offers predictable time off and the opportunity to make the most of your afternoons

As an Operations Shift Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in this process, tackling challenges head-on and ensuring your team has the tools and support they need to succeed.

About the team

Our World-Wide Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. Our Operation’s workflow has three major components: First mile - where the product is housed and ready for order; Middle mile - where the order is hauled to your area; and Last mile - when the product is delivered to the customer’s door. Please note that all workflows have slight building variations, but one thing is constant: our vision and dedication to the customer.

Basic Qualifications

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

  • 1+ years of employee and performance management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics

  • Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and move items up to 23 kg, and to be on your feet for up to 10 hours during shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
