Responsibilities

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the General Operation Supervisor is responsible for the production, quality and safe work practices of the sawmill departments of the Kettle Falls Lumber mill. The primary function is to provide leadership, general supervision and direction to off-shift supervisors and hourly production employees. This position will be responsible for the day shift supervision of the sawmill to include; safety meetings, payroll, team leadership, process improvement, data collection, and product quality standards. The selected candidate will need to have the ability to work other shifts as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of 5 years supervisory/management work experience in the manufacturing industry. A 4-year college degree in a related field is preferred. This position requires analytical and problem-solving skills and a good working knowledge of computers. Must have the ability to generate and understand production models. Effective communication skills are required.
