Job Summary

This position's primary responsibility is serving customers and the service department for repair needs, ensuring the repair process is completed correctly and in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service. The Parts Sales Representative coordinates with the service, rental and sales departments to achieve an efficient, accurate and effective workflow environment. This role establishes and maintains strong customer relationships and facilitates positive growth for the department.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve high customer satisfaction in managing the day-to-day business needs of new and existing customers, and craft innovative solutions for customer service by staying current with new products, competition, and pricing trends.

Take care of all customer needs including the processing of customer payments, calculating estimates, assisting customers load their merchandise, as well as addressing concerns, issues or disputes in a prompt, appropriate, and professional manner.

Answer in-bound sales calls to sell parts to end-user customers, body shops, trucking companies and others who use heavy duty parts.

Develop strategies to grow customer base and stay current with new products, competition and pricing trends.

Communicate with customers on the phone and through email regarding orders and shipments, and connect customers to other internal departments (e.g., finance, service).

Maintain relationships and regularly communicate with vendors regarding orders, shipment tracking, and billing.

Assist with service department repair orders including communication with customers and service techs regarding the necessary parts to complete a repair order.

Work closely with the service, parts and inventory departments to ensure the service department has the proper parts, tools and supplies to operate efficiently.
