Our regional manufacturing facility or Northwest Service Center located in Kent, Washington is looking to add a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.

What you will do as our Shipping and Receiving Coordinator?

You will help to oversee the shipping and receiving operations to ensure that products are dispatched and received accurately and efficiently. You will help to play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, managing logistics, and ensuring timely deliveries. In addition, you will help to pack, label, and ensure customer satisfaction.

You will also:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of shipping and receiving operations.

  • Prepare and process shipments, including packing, labeling, and documentation and look to determine the best method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.

  • Update and maintain accurate inventory records and enter all transactions in company ERP.

  • Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

  • Resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies and issues.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow, provide shipment and tracking information, as well as advise if there are any shortages or deficiencies.

  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.

  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and shipping regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees

  • Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

    Preferred experience / background we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent shipping, receiving, or logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with shipping software, inventory management systems, ERP system, and shipping programs such as: UPS or FedEx desired.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Previous forklift experience desired.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 pounds)

    Pay for this role is up to $24.00 per hour
