In this entry level position, training will be provided in shaping sheet metal aerospace parts by following plans and specifications. Train to learn operating manual and computerized equipment and a variety of production work in manufacturing parts. No experience necessary, although relevant experience in the use of measuring devices and/or the ability to read blueprints among other things may increase your starting wage. Help prepare parts for processing. Operate equipment safely and follow safety guidelines. Quality work habits and good attendance are keys to success in this position. Advancement opportunities are available and encouraged. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Your role is to learn our organizational processes. Work with precision and accuracy. Perform all tasks in area of responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner. The candidate will gain experience working with end users directly as a member of this team. Customer Service Skills will be developed supporting manufacturing as part of this rotation. Training will be provided for reading and interpreting blueprints, illustrations, planning and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations to manufacture sheet metal parts. Train to set up and operate machines or systems to cut, form and bend sheet metal parts. Train in basic knowledge in the use of calipers, protractor, tape measure and basic sheet metal inspection tools. Train to use Chop Saw and Shear with the opportunity to learn all other aspects of the Sheet Metal department. Be willing to cross-train and work in all areas of sheet metal operation. Provide input in team activities that encompass quality and manufacturing producibility. Qualifications: Ability to understand and follow instructions is critical Must be self-motivated, organized and can adapt in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment. Strong problem solving, social, and oral/written communication skills. Can-do attitude, positive, and capable of communicating and relating to individuals at all levels. Knowledge of basic shop math skills and alpha numeric numbering Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance.
