Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) Division has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager - P-8 Software Sustainment (Level K) in Kent, WA or Tukwila, WA.

P-8 Developmental Programs is seeking a highly motivated program manager for the Software Sustainment Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract.

In this role, you will be responsible for the overall execution of the Software Sustainment IDIQ contract. You will work closely with the Software team to ensure their plans are executable and within cost and schedule.

The ideal candidate would be well versed in agile software development as well as earned value management.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Program Management

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Experience leading projects or programs utilizing Earned Value management and RIO management to drive program performance

  • Experience in leading and influencing managers to meet schedules, resolve technical and/or operational problems and meet programmatic financial/contractual requirements

  • 1+ year of experience Agile software development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • IPT Leadership including cost, schedule, technical and risk management.

  • Experience with military commercial derivative aircraft

  • Experience with the platform subsystem lifecycle: design, analysis, manufacturing, procurements, assembly, integration, and test

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $135,150 – $182,850
