This position reports to the Flight Sciences Section in Blue Origin's Advanced Development Programs business unit.As part of a hardworking team of spacecraft development engineers, you will support model-based software development efforts across the organization.You will be responsible forimplementing modeling standards,developingunit and regression testing frameworks,implementing continuous integrationpipelines,andformulateand implementprocesses forshepherdingguidance, navigation, and control (GN&C)softwarethrough the verification process.Your work will support multiple spacecraft development programs.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of a model-based software development planLead thedevelopment of alibrary ofverifiedsoftware utilities for use in flight software across multiple programs, requirements-basedunit tests for software components, and model-basedsoftware verification processApply state-of-the-art model standards and writing automated model checks to enforce standardsDevelop continuous integration frameworksManage and automate the software developmentlife cycleSupport programs in implementation and adaptation of the software development plan and verification processRequired:B.S. in aerospace engineering or related technical subject areaExperience inGN&C algorithm development,implementing software standards and ensuring compliance (e.g., MISRA), andconfiguration management software such as Subversion, GIT, PVCSExpertise in Matlab/SimulinkExperience withSimulink Test and Embedded Real-Time Target and Design Assurance Level (DAL)software levelsExperienced in configuration and product data managementExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumDesired:M.S. or PhD in aerospace engineering or related technical subject area5+ years demonstrated experience in development of GN&C softwarefor aerospace vehiclesExperience in full lifecycle development of GN&C softwareon spacecraftFamiliar with DO-178C and DO-331Experience in spaceflight GN&C hardware, software, operations, and/or ground supportFamiliarity with requirements databases such as DOORS/DNG, CameoExperience with performing system safety analyses including Functional Hazard Assessments; Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses; and Fault Tree Analysis; Simulink Design Verifier; Simulink Verification, Validation, and Test; and collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA#SpaceExploration#GNC #ControlSystems #Space #SpacecraftDesign #AdvancedDevelopmentITAR RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government commercial space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 8 U.S.C. * 1324b(a)(3), applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e. current green ca
