NorthWest Industrial Staffing Platics Machine Operator in Kent, Washington

Job Purpose: Fabricates components by analyzing requirements, collecting materials, and operating equipment. Duties: * Set up and adjust machines according to blueprints * Monitor machine status to ensure proper functioning * Insert material into machines, either manually or using material handling equipment * Operate shaping and forming equipment, such as plastic molding, casting, or core making machines * Operate stock removal metalworking machines, such as lathes or mills * Adjust machine settings for temperature, cycle times, and speed and feed rates * Remove finished products and document output in a database * Measure, test, and inspect finished workpieces according to blueprints * Observe and adjust or replace dull or damaged cutting tools * Develops sheet metal projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assembly; calculating requirements; determining appropriate methods; sketching layout. * Collects materials by studying specifications and component requirements and ordering supplies. * Fabricate components using equipment to cut, form, and fasten pieces. * Verifies results by inspecting and testing components. * Documents actions by completing records. * Maintains a safe work environment by following procedures and complying with legal regulations. * Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. * Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
