Children's Therapy Center Pediatric Infant Feeding Therapist (Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Team) in Kent, Washington

Primary Responsibilities * Perform evaluations using formal and informal assessment tools * Conduct oral-motor examinations and assess swallowing skills * Observe mealtimes; partner with families to understand the child’s food preferences, any aversions and nutritional intake patterns * Collaborate with NICU team and other medical providers to support smooth transition from the NICU to home; collaborate with medical team for ongoing care coordination * Develop and implement developmentally appropriate goals * Maintain timely treatment records and progress reports * Consistently assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed * Provide parent coaching and support as an integral part of the therapy program * Order assistive devices, and/or adaptive equipment as necessary * Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team Demonstrable experience and other qualifications: * Degree in PT, OT or Speech related discipline from an accredited college or university * Must have or obtain a PT, OT or SLP license in the State of Washington * 5+ years pediatric feeding experience with at least 3 years’ experience working with children birth to 3, and specifically infants * Knowledge of and ability to support children who receive tube feedings; ability to collaborate with medical teams to support varying tube feedings schedules and tube weaning * Ability to identify tethered oral ties and provide referrals as needed; ability to support children in relearning oral motor feeding patens post oral tie release * Dedicated to quality, with a willingness to learn and share * Experience working with children with developmental delay or disability preferred * Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff and multi-disciplinary teams * Current CPR and First Aid certifications and a valid Driver's License and/or reliable transportation CTC’s Operations during COVID-19 In accordance with applicable State and Federal Orders, Children’s Therapy Center requires that all staff be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on or before October 18, 2021, or before beginning employment; /unless by certified, document medical disability or religious accommodation./ Compensation & Benefits: Children’s Therapy Center offers equitable and competitive pay commensurate with experience.
