Job Title: Part Straightener

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Part Straightener who can perform repeated tasks with acute attention to detail. The candidate will be responsible for pulling hydro-formed sheet metal parts from a freezer and ensuring they meet blueprint tolerances. This role involves deburring parts and working in a noisy shop area with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Pull hydro-formed sheet metal parts from a freezer.

  • Ensure parts are within tolerances provided by blueprints.

  • Deburr parts using appropriate tools.

  • Work in a noisy environment while adhering to safety protocols.

  • Use hand tools and machinery as required in production.

Essential Skills

  • Acute attention to detail

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks

  • Experience with deburring and grinding

  • Proficiency in using hand tools

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 1 – 50 lbs frequently

  • Capability to squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently

  • Able to sit, stand, and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day

  • Comfortable working in a 55 – 85 degree Fahrenheit work environment

  • Experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment with appropriate PPE such as hearing protection, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to loud noises and machinery with moving parts. The work hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Appropriate protective clothing, including hearing protection, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes, is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
