Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Utility person for our Kent, WA site. You will be responsible for overall facility maintenance and repair to include plumbing, painting, projects, and overall facility maintenance and upkeep sometimes in conjunction with outside vendors. You will participate on projects and partner with the Regional Service Center Manager while maintaining a safe and productive facility for our team members to work in. This position will report to the onsite RSC manager and have a dotted line to the Senior Manager of Reliability and Maintenance Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Facility Maintenance and repair and general contracting experience. What you'll do: Track projects onsite while effectively communicating progress to the RSC manager and the Manager of Reliability and Maintenance Engineering. Coordinate the Maintenance and repair with RSC operations. Responsible for the light maintenance of physical facilities and onsite systems. Ensure that all corporate and regulatory safety requirements are followed. Follow up with contractors on regulatory maintenance and equipment repair. Work with the RSC Manager on future projects and repairs to keep the facility in top condition. Keep the shop stocked with parts and supplies while maintain 5s standards Communicate with site clerk when supplies or parts are needed. Update the CMMS with workorders and close work orders when jobs are complete. May be asked to operate forklift equipment to support operations once qualified on equipment. What you'll bring: At least 2 years' experience in Facilities Repair and maintenance. Powered industrial truck fleet maintenance experience Ability to review information and create reports Experience in General contracting to include plumbing, electrical, and construction trades. Ability to use Microsoft Suite products Solid understanding of building systems, fire, and life safety rules Understanding of NFPA, OSHA, and local regulations Within 3 months, you'll: Meet all key internal Atkore stakeholders who you will interact with as part of your responsibilities Understand how your job will help deliver on Atkore's go to market strategy. Begin to integrate with your team, including RSC Managers Become familiar with the Atkore vision for our distribution network Held an introductory meeting with each Vendor and contractor to identify opportunities to grow the partnership. Have a good understanding of how the CMMS works and be able to create and close work orders. Within 6 months, you'll: Successfully complete multiple repair and maintenance tasks Suggest and make improvements in the facility Conducted site tours/inspections for deficiencies on the PIT equipment and overall facility Health. Report findings and countermeasures to improve opportunities Identify ways to strengthen the team's commitment to Atkore's core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence. Within 12 months, you'll: Take total ownership of the facility physical plant, including powered industrial truck fleet and on-site systems. Create and update reports, detailing projects, and facility health.
