Aerotek Mechanical Design Engineer in Kent, Washington

Description:

-Use Windchill more than CREO, role is for engineered to order products, understand customer need and influences standard product, customizing products.

-Proficient in modeling, not an expert - models are not super complex - standard 3D models - winch and hoist parts.

Top Skills Details:

-Windchill + CREO.

-Heavy machine design, rotating equipment (motor and gear boxes, stress analysis).

-Hands on practical engineer - comes with experience - don't have tons of time to make engineering decisions or judgements - requires practical approach and arrive at solution quickly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-PM experience.

Materials:

-Steel alloy, cast iron, not much aluminum - generally heat treated, nothing too exotic.

-Composites doesn't transfer well.

-They do winches, lifting people with winches, big heavy steel machinery, conservative engineering as far as standards.
