From within REI's Loyalty Marketing organization, you help drive the tactical implementation for three key programs within Loyalty Marketing: Membership, Gift Cards, and the REI Mastercard.

  • Contributes to the strategy development in partnership with the Marketing Manager and Program Managers and authors multi-channel marketing program plans, both customer and employee-facing, in support of respective Annual Marketing Plans.

  • Orchestrates and assists in executing program plans throughout cross-divisional planning, execution, and recap phases.

  • Shepherds the creative development process for deliverables which support the marketing programs.

  • Evaluates partnership opportunities and proposals for strategic relevance, business need, and to ensure they are in-line with REI’s core values.

  • Maintains a holistic calendar of offers and programs within the marketplace for the marketing programs team.

  • Assists in improving and documenting processes.

  • Act as a key contributor for managing marketing programs resources such as budget, vendors, and partners

  • Provide key inputs to budgets of $1 mil+, including monthly working plan updates, expense forecasting, and year-end performance management

Bring your passion and expertise

  • 2+ years’ experience in marketing communications, program marketing or relevant field.

  • Experience with loyalty programs, gift cards and/or co-branded credit cards (preferred).

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing or related field (Preferred)

  • Ability to effectively plan and execute marketing programs.

  • Experience and demonstrated ability blending analytical and creative thinking.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office business applications.

  • Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgement in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.

  • Consolidates information from various sources, including feedback from others, to reach sound recommendations and decisions.

  • Works smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities, and planning well in order to produce quality work in a timely fashion.

  • Challenges the status quo, champions change, and influences others.

  • Experience with working with multiple teams and stakeholders, executing project plans (including contingency plans), and delivering results on time and on budget

  • Understanding of marketing and cross-team processes and relationship needs

  • Budget tracking experience preferred
