Description What You'll Do: As the Maritime Patrol, P-8A Electronic Warfare Operator (EWO), you will join our incredible team of technical experts supporting NAVAIR's PMA-290 (Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) Program. In this role, you will provide input to PMA-290 leadership regarding the integration and testing of EWO sensors (RADAR, IFFI, ESM, EOIR, etc.) and mission systems. You will be at training expert for operator manuals (baseline and FMS). This position will be based in Kent, WA with some flexibility for telework. Responsibilities will include: Providing expert knowledge on the latest P-8A sensors, mission systems, and combat systems (I3B2) hardware/software Identifying and reporting software defects and analyzing the defect priority level based on mission impact, operator workload, and stability Conducting (in)formal functional and system-level testing of P-8A mission and combat systems in various labs Reviewing and providing feedback on formal functional and system-level test procedures against program software requirements and operational objectives Analyzing and summarizing results of independent sensor and integrated system-level tests in the form of written reports and oral briefings Interacting with fleet operators and system developers to help Identify software and hardware improvements that will increase the effectiveness of the P-8A baseline and combat systems hardware and software for ASuW, ASW, and ISR missions to include coordinated operations with surface, land, and aircraft platforms Analyzing data to develop training materials that emphasize the differences between software and hardware for fleet releases for the Naval Aviation Technical Information Product (NATIP). Preparing training materials to be presented at regularly scheduled positional training meetings. Generating content as a technical writer and subject matter expert to keep the permanent flight clearance up to date for FMS deliveries. Potential for P-8A production and acceptance aircraft test ground and in-fight responsibilities Additional duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the program office The job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities.
