This is a fully on-site position located in Kent, Washington.

Day or Swing with ability to work any day of the week with at least 2 days off

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our plant production equipment. In this role, you will play a crucial part in minimizing downtime by utilizing your advanced troubleshooting skills across electrical, automation, mechanical, and operational problems on various equipment. Additionally, your responsibilities will include managing personnel and equipment, as well as performing building maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant production equipment

• Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to address electrical, automation, mechanical, and operational problems on various equipment

• Manage personnel and equipment effectively

• Perform building maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing and HVAC

• Collaborate with external vendors for outsourcing tasks when necessary

Hard Skills

• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting

• Experience in boiler maintenance

• Knowledge of waste water system management

• Familiarity with facilities maintenance

• Ability to work with control systems for heavy electrical equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Formal Training (certification) in a mechanical-industrial-related trade.

Strong mechanical/electrical experience

Prior maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred

Prior experience with CMMS (work order PM system)

Experience with cooling systems

Written/oral communication skills

Poses basic knowledge or OSHA and Food Safety regulations

Basic hydraulics, pneumatic, conveyor, and electrical experience & prior work with PLC's

Work Environment

The work environment is a very cold and wet food production setting, with temperatures around 34 degrees and water on the ground. Some areas may vary from steamy to freezing. The role requires wearing full General Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including coats, hair nets, gloves, shoe covers, and non-slip shoes. Candidates must be comfortable working in a bustling, very busy environment with many people around.
