Job Purpose: Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. • Electrical troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving technical problems.
• Specialist in Electrical, Mechanical, PLC or Refrigeration.
• Hands on practical test of Electrical, Mechanical, PLC or Refrigeration.
• Follow and adhere to all safety policies and procedures, such as Lock out/Tag out, Confined
• Space, Hot Works and Arc Flash at all times
• Answer radio calls
• Assist at all times with keeping the plant running as smooth as possible while working on PM and maintenance projects
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment scheduled through PMC.

Skills & Requirements Position Qualifications:

• Two or more years of technical training or equivalent
• Two years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to weld steel, stainless steel and sanitary weld helpful. MIG, TIG
• Knowledge of basic tools used in bakery production environment
• Knowledge of drive chains, sprockets, conveyor belt splicing
• Able to read and interpret manuals and technical drawings
• Forklift certification, sit down, standup, aerial, and pallet jack.
• Observance and verbal testing of General Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Able to pass level A Maintenance Mechanic skills test

Physical Requirements:

• Able to tolerate dusty and wet conditions and occasional exposure to Zero degree temperatures
• Medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

Duties: * Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. * Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. * Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. * Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. * Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. * Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. * Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. * Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. * Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. * Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. * Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. * Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. * Ma
