Smith Brothers Farms, a leading producer and deliverer of milk to homes, schools, and business in the Puget Sound area for more than 100 years, is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Manager to join the team in Kent, WA. The Maintenance Manager leads all facets of the maintenance department and drives operating results by maximizing equipment uptime, leading improvement projects, maintaining a safe facility and infrastructure while managing and minimizing labor costs and department spend. Qualifications: * 7 + years of maintenance or electrical work in a dairy processing facility or in a food and beverage processing facility AND a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. * Associates degree in a technical field or a bachelor's degree with additional certification in an applicable technical field * Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic * Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft office products * Demonstrated technical expertise in at least two of the following functional areas: process controls, HVAC, boilers, pumps, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, wastewater treatment system. * This position is not a remote position. We do not sponsor employees from outside the USA for work in the USA. * This is a safety sensitive position. We do preemployment drug tests, including THC. Essential duties/responsibilities: * Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment. * Provide day-to-day technical leadership and training for engineering and maintenance personnel. * Increasing production assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards * Develop, monitor and ensure timely completion of plant goals/action plans, both short and long term * Utilizes mechanical and electrical expertise to manage production systems, utilities, buildings and grounds. * Full knowledge and utilization of the EAM system in support of maintenance & engineering functions * Responsible for Continuous Improvement programs related to engineering, to generate improvement plans that feature both short and long-term improvements, with and without capital investment. * Drive key initiatives throughout the facility in the areas of Maintenance and Engineering * Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with Federal and State guidelines. * Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, Etc.) * Track and report out on key performance indicators (KPI's) for maintenance and engineering. * Continually develop and improve upon planned maintenance activities (PM, PdM).
