Motors and Controls Corporation is a small family owned industrial controls electrical distributor. We have been in business for 42 years. We are looking for someone to become part of our team. Our delivery vehicle is a 1500 Ram Hemi Quad Cab 4X4. Job Summary: *Drives a truck to deliver products to customers and will call products from vendors *Helps Material Handler with the following: *Receives, processes, stores, transfers and stages incoming purchase orders *Pulls and ships outgoing sales orders *Manages materials in the warehouse, including bin locations and accurate inventory counts. *Transfers materials to Olympia location and/or relocates materials within warehouse General Accountabilities: *Loads and unloads the delivery vehicle *Secures loads properly for safety of good and to meet DMV requirements *Obtains customer signature on ship confirmation for receipt of delivery *Records deliveries in Driver Log and maintains records for three months *Uses the daily task sheet to accomplish weekly duties *Transfers materials between warehouses and/or relocates material within warehouse along with completing the appropriate paperwork *Required to use hand truck and forklift or other material handling equipment as well as UPS machines *Follows safe working habits with material handling equipment *Completes double check of orders before delivery for completeness and accuracy *Establishes a good working relationship with customers. Listens to and helps resolve any customer complaints *Recommends improvements in current practices to promote efficiency, faster service and lower costs *Cooperates and coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth and timely flow of materials *Effectively and Accurately enters data and interfaces with DDI Inform *Pays attention to and tracks vehicle mileage and performance to ensure maintenance is done on time and avoids breakdowns or serious problems *Maintains general order and cleanliness of warehouse and delivery vehicles, including removal of trash, recycling and pallets *Performs other related duties as assigned or requested *Helps Material Handler with: *Accepts incoming shipments *Verifies merchandise shipments received against purchase orders and packing slips *Checks orders for completeness, accuracy and possible damage *Receives shipments and forwards paperwork in a timely manner *Develops and maintains bin locations of all materials in warehouse *Process, pull and ship confirm orders for delivery (will call, UPS, OT) *Calls will call customers for pick-up of merchandise *Prepares, packs and ships all outgoing merchandise, including returns according to procedures and requested shipping methods Other skills: *Meets commitments *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Teamwork *Ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner *Uses time efficiently and completes work in a timely manner *Observes Safety and security procedures *Safe Driving *Knowledge of how to secure loads and how those loads affect the vehicle *Adapts driving style to current weather conditions *Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events *Can lift up to 50lbs Job Qualifications: *Minimum Education: High School or GED *Interpersonal skills and customer service skills required *Valid state driver’s license *Clean driving record
