Blue Origin LLC Calibration Technician II in Kent, Washington

As a part of our growing quality team, this role will partner with our calibration engineer to ensure the measurement & test equipment used to build space vehicles and rocket engines are calibrated and cycled on schedule.Responsibilities:Perform calibration of measurement & test equipment in a metrology lab environment.Maintain accuracy of calibrated item inventory & calibration status.Utilize 3rd party calibration vendors and oversee the logistics of calibration services.Assist manufacturing team with device recall & notification.Qualifications:3+ years' experience in technical or technical support role; Manufacturing; Quality Assurance.HS Diploma + calibration related technical trainingFamiliarity with the operation of measurement and test equipment.Comfortable utilizing a computer to maintain, organize & track technical informationMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:Military PMEL or Post-Secondary metrology trainingExperience with industry calibration standards (ANSI NCSL Z540.3, ISO/IEC 17025)Experience with industry quality and configuration control system methodologies (AS9100, ISO:9001)Experience developing, operating and maintaining calibration systems & proceduresExperience in customer serviceITAR RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government commercial space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 8 U.S.C. * 1324b(a)(3), applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e. current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. * 1157-1158.
