Aston Carter Accounts Receivable Specialist in Kent, Washington

Description:

This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for all accounts receivable transactions entry. The person will be the sole resource for receivables, aging, and associated records/files maintenance, and will be the primary contact for Customer/AR departments.

The following are the primary responsibilities for the AR position:

• Input of all customer payments in ERP.

• Manages credit card payments of invoices from customers via Merchant Portals.

• Prints all AR reports and maintains all accounts receivables files

• Preparation and review of AR aging, contacting customers needing payment.

• Reconcile customer statements.

• Process and post approved credit memos.

• Perform monthly close reconciliations and duties.

• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 years’ experience in AR role.

• Experience in manufacturing environment (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Able to work under limited supervision.

• Associate degree, Bachelors degree, or commensurate experience.

• Good verbal and written communication and attention to detail.

• Experience using Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Outlook.

• Experience with ERP software (GP Dynamics preferred).

• Understanding of accounting/bookkeeping principles.

• Verbal and Writing Fluency in English.

• Good math skills.

• Comfort with taking direction and constructive coaching.

• Authorized to work in the US.

Understanding of the following software programs:

• Microsoft Office 365 Suite

• Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains

• Google Forms

• Google Sheets

• Merchant Credit Card Portals

• Document Management for Food Safety Systems

• HRIS systems (isolved)
