Job Description Summary Work in multiple areas of the plant as assigned. Trim, inspects, sorts defects from both raw and finished product being processed and removes foreign material in potato production facility. Rework finished product which could include bagged and case handling, sweeping, shoveling and cleaning of packaging equipment and assembly and disassembly of totes. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. * Understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures. * Maintain a clean and orderly work environment as directed by plant policies and procedures. * Must have the ability to work overtime as required. * Must actively practice and abide by all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and general hygiene regulations as outlined in the employee handbook. * Removes foreign materials and non-standard product as assigned. * Inspects finished product. * Inspects raw product to ensure that rocks, vines, foreign material have been removed. * Trims defects from raw product and orients raw product in cutting equipment as assigned. * Lifting cases, opening cases, opening bags and building totes. * Notify the lead or supervisor of foreign material, malfunction of food processing equipment and major shifts in product quality at the trained level of urgency. * Major clean up and sanitation as assigned. * Clean area during period of line stoppage as well as ongoing cleaning in packaging as assigned. * Rotate through all major work areas. * Other duties as assigned by lead or supervisor.
