Job Description Summary Under the general supervision of the Lamb Weston Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Department ("LRC"), the Director Trade Compliance will develop, maintain and support the implementation and oversight of the global trade compliance program for Lamb Weston. The role's primary function is to support the company's adherence to International Trade Regulations and related requirements. Furthermore, this role will support the efficient and compliant movement of goods across international borders. The Director of Global Trade Compliance is the subject matter expert on international trade requirements, systems, government programs, and will provide leadership, direction, guidance, and training on all topics relating to trade. The Director will develop necessary controls programs with scheduled audit and review schedules, issue escalation, corrective actions and mitigate risk with legal. Work closely with internal leadership and stakeholder teams to drive improvements in strategy, processes, and technology to align with LW goals and guidelines, and applicable regulations. Utilize discretion and independent judgement to build and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external customers, suppliers, trade partners, and applicable jurisdictional agencies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Job Description * Develop, implement and manage global trade controls program, using a risk-based strategy, to prevent, detect and respond to risks. * Perform global, regional and country formal risk assessments/audits to identify areas of opportunity, create audit reports with recommendations and action plans. * Develop, implement and annually review trade and compliance policies and procedures. * Train Lamb Weston team members on applicable policies, procedures, requirements, processes, and systems; document and track. * Establish and monitor key performance indicators from global trade partners and internal trade systems. * Periodically evaluate the sufficiency of transactional record keeping and maintenance in all jurisdictions. * Annually, and as required, validate Free Trade Agreement qualification (preferential country of origin), substantial transformation (non-preferential), and support issuance of certifications. * Monitor and identify current and future geopolitical and economic trade risks/exposures and develop strategies, actions and plans to address. * Identify, collaborate and contribute to continuous improvement and value-added opportunities to improve efficiencies, minimize risks, reduce costs, and make recommendations concerning thes To view the full job description,
