Express Employment Professionals Diesel Technician in Kennewick, Washington
Job Title: Diesel Technician, Experienced
*Location: *Pasco, WA
*Description: *Our local client in Pasco has an immediate need for three Diesel Technicians.
The ideal candidate must have experience as a diesel engine mechanic and heavy equipment mechanic. You will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment
- Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment, repair diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing or repairs
- Operate repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs
- Record repairs and maintenance performed
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles
- Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices
- Provide assistance throughout the yard and to other team members when needed
- Perform special projects and other job duties as requested from manager
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience assisting a skilled trade worker in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, diesel engine, or relevant experience may be considered
- Possess a valid driver's license, clean motor vehicle record
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screen
- Heavy lifting and carrying, 50lbs or more with assistance
Able to stand for up 12 hour shifts
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 / hour
Schedule: Monday-Sunday during harvest season, 6:00AM-6:00PM
Once harvest season is over, Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM-4:00PM
