Job Summary:
Express Employment is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team. This role primarily involves assisting the Purchasing Manager, handling purchase orders (POs), and providing excellent customer service through our parts phone lines.

Key Responsibilities:
Utilize MRP systems to ensure accurate inventory management and ordering.
Create and manage system purchase orders (POs) in alignment with inventory needs.
Answer parts phone lines, addressing customer inquiries and providing assistance in a timely manner.
Collaborate with team members to ensure inventory levels meet demand.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory and purchases.
Assist in troubleshooting inventory-related issues and provide solutions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory and procurement processes.
Qualifications:
2 years' experience in purchasing specifically in manufacturing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with inventory management systems.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
