Main Goal: Provide appropriate medical care to all TEAM Members at Foster Farms using good judgment and communicating necessary information. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Primary Responsibilities of Medical Services Treat and Aid TEAM Members with injuries and occupational illnesses using good judgment to properly provide or coordinate first aid and/or follow-up care based on employment related and non-employment related injury status. Determine TEAM Members who need to be transported, then assist in transportation of such TEAM Members in need of medical attention to the appropriate medical facility and advocate for TEAM Member and employer with light duty and early return to work programs. Assist management and Human Resources in the application of plant policies and be the eyes and ears for consistency issues: Report issues to management, direct supervisor or the Human Resources Manager. Electronic Documentation and Paperwork Ensure that TEAM Member report of injury is entered appropriately into Origami database. That all documentation is completed and uploaded to TEAM Member claim file If the TEAM Member is seeking outside medical attention, ensure all Self-Insured paperwork is completed prior to visit. Chart all doctors' notes in Origami software system. Track and chart appointments and progress of each team member. Computer Accurately and completely input TEAM Member information into the appropriate recording log such as Treatment log, Drug Screens and Appointments. Data entry into Origami daily, as needed to generate reports as required. Process daily call-in log - return call to any TEAM Member that appears to report a work-related injury or issue. Update SDS as needed and distribute throughout plant. (SDS Procedure for details) Other Communicate with Co-workers, Supervisors, and Superintendents daily concerning TEAM Member medical needs. Tour plant daily (as time allows) to assist with Safety and Health inspections and mitigate issues such as hearing protection, blocked doors, fire extinguishers and checking Eye wash stations. Keep First Aid kits stocked every Friday & check AED's (Graveyard EMT). Order and stock all supplies in Medical Services office. Scan records when received for TEAM Members into Origami Software System as they come in. Clean and sanitize office before and after each shift which includes cleaning cabinets, doorknobs.
