About the Position: About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Responsibilities Serves as Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and integrating logistics operations. Provide direction and staff level oversight of operations dispersed throughout the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) area of support. Exercise technical and administrative supervision. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, and schedules completion. Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for contracts and task orders established to execute LRC missions within the area of operation. Prepare and submit documents required to establish contracts, monitors performance, and accepts invoices for payment. Conduct performance management reviews (PMRs) and submits documents to the contracting office. Review and analyze the short-and long-range strategic logistics planning objectives and goals. Ensure that established policies and procedures are being uniformly applied and recommends remedial measures as necessary. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing direction and/or staff-level oversight for logistics operations throughout the area of support; 2) monitoring performance of contracts to resolve operational and/or personnel problems; 3) overseeing operations staff to ensuring efficient operations; and, 4) coordinating logistics operations such as maintenance, supply, and transportation functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Communications Contracting Support Managing Human Resources Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. This position is not eligible for regular and recurring telework. This position is eligible for situational telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework". Situational telework is approved on a case-by-case basis, where the hours worked were not part of a previously approved, ongoing, and regular telework schedule. Situational telework is sometimes also referred to as episodic, intermittent, unscheduled, or ad-hoc telework. Supervisor approval is required on a case-by-case basis.
