Secret Regular We are pipelining candidates for a future role. Contingent upon Contract Award Valiant is seeking Computer Network Technologist II for W-TRS. Potential locations could include: California, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, Korea, and potential additional CONUS locations. Essential job duties include but are not limited to: Maintain industry certification in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M and DODD 8140.01 for AT Level II Provide oversight and review of System Admin Associate level work for completeness and correctness Assist in the development of junior team members through hands on troubleshooting and review of their work. Responsibilities: Perform congenial customer service as needed with clientele, vendors, and peers Perform backup administration procedures. Perform Active Directory tasks; Is knowledgeable of SIEM tools, repositories, and VMware Perform IAVA trend analysis to better understand and mitigate security vulnerabilities. Prepare detailed reports for the deliverables of the vulnerability assessment Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Research security testing tools, techniques, and processes Integrate and share information with other analysts and other teams. Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions Optimize workstation/server system operations and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Participate in the development and / or promote standard operating procedures. Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations / servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database / library of all supporting documentation; Establish, document, and participate in the enforcement of system administration policies and procedures. Prepare and present training materials to Soldiers in a classroom environment Prepare AAR products, to include a Take-Home Packet (THP) to the using units if needed Must be able to work in a field environment with a flexible work schedule on occasion. Mental/Physical requirements for this role include: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate. Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain) and at height. Willing to work a flexible workweek. Must have or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license and maintain post driving privileges. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation. This position may require travel to other installations and other WTRS locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS. Basic Qualifications: 4-year bachelor's degree in electronics or related technical field. May consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, and/or professional experience). US citizenship is required. Possess an Active Secret US Government Clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.
