Introduction to the team

The Tax & Partner Services Manager provides a full spectrum of internal S corporation and partnership tax services for the firm, as well as partner service support. This position creates value by providing in depth knowledge of partner draws, capital, income, and firm taxes to assist our partners and leadership. Working closely with the Tax & Partner Services Associate Director, this position is responsible for projecting firm and partner-related cash flows.

  • Manage federal, local, state tax compliance, planning and correspondence with taxing authorities for the firm

  • Manage firm partner S corporations including formation, registrations, bank reconciliations, GL accounting, and annual preparation of S corporation federal and state K-1s and tax returns

  • Accountable for the monthly partner pay process including profit sharing, draws, charges, etc.

  • Deliver client support for partners including guidance related to draws, capital, qualified retirement plans, legacy plan payments, income verifications, umbrella liability insurance, and tax schedule K-1’s

  • Manage and develop a high performing team

  • Prepare communications and reports for firm leadership regarding tax positions, tax planning and income allocations

  • Assist with merger and acquisition activities including performing due diligence around partner draws, capital, and firm tax compliance

  • Manage firm asset depreciation and participate in firm book income planning and reviewing various reconciliations for general ledger accounts related to firm assets

  • Develop and ensure all tax process control documentation, tax policies, and procedures are maintained and updated in accordance with legal requirements and firm standards


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Accounting or related field preferred; Master’s of Tax preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a complex organization required; including demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture; experience in public accounting or professional services environment preferred

  • Experience working with partnership and S corporations required

  • CPA preferred, or must be working towards CPA

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to firm leadership

  • Effective time management and organizational skills, proven ability to prioritize while simultaneously managing numerous projects/processes often under tight deadlines

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
