SanMar Sr Network Engineer in Issaquah, Washington

The Sr Network Engineer ensures that the Enterprise Networks and its related services are reliable, robust, and can scale by providing ongoing proactive and reactive support. What Will You Be Doing? Plan, design, and coordinate the various components of an enterprise network system. Design and configure an enterprise environment with appropriate hardware, operating systems software, applications software, and communications components to support business requirements. Design, deploy, manage and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol critical infrastructure networks across the enterprise network. Analyze and resolve network hardware, software, and communications problems using diagnostic software and technical troubleshooting processes. Maintain reliable system performance through active monitoring of logs and user-reported network issues. Reassess the effectiveness of network hardware, software, and communications performance. Execute regularly scheduled maintenance. Ensure proper disaster recovery procedures and processes are in place. Create and maintain up-to-date documentation/runbooks of enterprise network design and procedures. Consult with users and program management conducting information assessments to determine user needs and to define network solutions to meet user requirements. Work closely with 3rd party support vendors on any current or incoming technologies. Provide mentoring and training to Jr Network Engineers and other IT staff. Collaborate with other IT teams and department to support overall IT strategy and objectives. Provide support for the highly critical Distribution Center network across the U.S. Provide network support for cloud-based solutions (Azure and AWS) including enterprise circuits SDWAN and VPN. Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware (firewalls, switches, load balancers, WLC, WAP, and routers). Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. What Are We Looking For? Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 4-6 years of related experience. CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Technician preferred. Demonstrated strength in communication with the ability to convey technical subject matter to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface daily with internal customers. Highly developed investigative and analysis skills. Wide latitude for independent judgment and decision making. A Self Starter with a positive attitude and a passion to learn networking technologies. Highly developed investigative and analysis skills. Deep knowledge of Cisco IOS, routers, switches and hubs via CLI. Solid understanding of enterprise computing environments. Occasionally will be required to work nights, weekends or holidays to make network system-level changes after the corporate office is closed. What's Our Offer? Salary Range: Youll earn between $120,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience. Bonus: Youll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary. Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.
