We encourage initiative and participation by creating a casual environment that taps your full potential as an employee.Position Summary:This position contributes to SanMar's success by assisting in the design, development and implementation of company's customs compliance program. Working in conjunction with the Manager, Customs Compliance, the Sr Customs Compliance Analyst will ensure all applicable US Customs and Partner Government Agency regulations and company policies are abided by. This position will be responsible for classifying product, researching, providing guidance and responding to customs compliance related questions from internal and external stakeholders.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:* Provide support with US Customs and internal audits.* Manage trade preference program including developing controls, documentation determination, recordkeeping and conducting product verification reviews to ensure compliance to each program.* Update and maintain process documentation, classification standards, and databases for recordkeeping, audit and process improvement purposes.* Manage Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program including coordination of company's CTPAT committee, CTPAT portal maintenance, risk assessments and maintenance of CTPAT manual.* Stay current and maintain working knowledge of CBP and PGA's regulations and market trends by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.* Work with Sourcing and Product Development teams to identify opportunities and determine product eligibly for trade preference programs (DR-CAFTA, AGOA, GSP, et al).* Correspond with US Customs on requests for information.* Participate in the development, review and maintenance of customs compliance policies, procedures and manuals.* Support the development of new supplier onboarding process and associated materials.* Assist with new market expansion and global regulation research.* Develop presentations and deliver internal trainings on various trade compliance topics.* Manage drawback program and required recordkeeping to ensure regulatory compliance.* Ensure proper classification and country of origin determination of all imported products; writing binding ruling requests as necessary.* Perform other compliance related duties and special projects as assigned.Requirements for Position:* Analytical with proven data management, auditing, and problem-solving skills.* Strong working knowledge of import trade regulations, classification, valuation, country of origin, trade preference programs, supply chain security (CTPAT), and Partner Government Agencies.* Proven project management and process improvement experience.* Self-motivated with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks and meet deadlines.* Ability to navigate and research US Customs regulations.* Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to follow through.* Proven team play that maintains a positive attitude at all times.* Excellent verbal
