Robert Half International Payroll Clerk in Issaquah, Washington

A Wealth Management firm based in the heart of Issaquah is looking for a Payroll Clerk to join their Accounting department. This company has a reputation for being a leader in the Financial Services industry and continues to grow at a steady pace year after year. The Payroll Clerk will assist the Accounting department in a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This role requires strong communication skills as the applicant needs to be skilled in effectively interacting with both the internal team and outside customers. Responsibilities: - Distribute and administer reports as instructed - Gather data into spreadsheets and the payroll system - Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system - Payroll record maintenance by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Certify compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines - Collect, calculate, and enter relevant data to maintain payroll records - Detail all payroll liabilities by establishing employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payment - Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Microsoft Excel experience
  • Expertise in payroll systems for 100-500 employees
  • Strong familiarity with payroll management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll
  • Foundational knowledge in ADP Windows
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Previous payroll experience
  • Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new system
