SanMar Logistics Intern in Issaquah, Washington

The Logistics Intern participates in a 10 week program providing support to staff in several areas of Supply Chain: Global Sourcing, Logistics, Production Planning, Product Quality Assurance. We provide guidance and support as well as the opportunity to experience the industry from the inside and gain valuable work experience. Please submit a cover letter with your application. What Will You Be Doing? Conduct a variety of general administrative tasks as assigned. Participate in various aspects of company operations. May prepare correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials. Interact with staff to define, prioritize and assist with the execution of multiple tasks and activities required to meet deadlines; able to switch gears quickly and work in a high volume position. Perform well in an environment that values leadership, efficiency, dependability, and organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. What Are We Looking For? Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain undergraduate program. Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills. Strong desire to learn along with professional drive. Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly. Administrative skills which must include excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsive to staff needs, including professionalism, respect and consideration of others. Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors work to ensure quality. Takes personal responsibility for own actions, keeping commitments and asking for and offering help when needed. Ability to operate computer, calculator, copy machine, telephone, and other office equipment with dexterity and in a safe and efficient manner. Understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions which may include adverse material of a sensitive nature. Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) What's Our Offer? Pay: Youll earn $21.39 on an hourly basis. Paid Time Off: Youll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked. What Should You Expect? Office: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Work environment is moderately quiet. Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
