At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. What's the Short Version? The BI Intern is responsible for assisting a BI team during a 12 week program. What Will You Be Doing? Work alongside the team to develop high-performance, reliable, visually appealing BI reports. Assist in bridging the gap between data and business insights. Create reports that turn raw data into meaningful insights that drive smart business decisions. Participate in all aspects of the BI process, including design, coding, code review, and testing. Participate in intern cohort activities including: professional development workshops, warehouse tours, and meetings with leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. What Are We Looking For? Currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree or recently graduated in IT or related field. Proficiency in one or more BI disciplines such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc. Experience using tools such as Power BI's Power Query (Query Editor) to extract data from different data sources (SQL databases, spreadsheets, cloud-services, etc.) Knowledge of databases and SQL. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively. Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of software development. What's Our Offer? Pay: Youll earn $25.00 on an hourly basis. Paid Time Off: Youll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked. What Should You Expect? Office: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Work environment is moderately quiet. Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
