Aston Carter Export Coordinator in Issaquah, Washington

One of the globally recognized Wholesale company headquartered in Issaquah, WA is currently hiring for an Export Coordinator. This role will support export screening, authorization, and recordkeeping. Will receive requests from U.S. warehouses, export sales, and ecommerce for export approval, screen export transactions, and review for approval and/or denials.

Pay: $25/hr. - $28/hr. (depending on overall consideration meeting qualifications below)

Location: Issaquah, WA (100% onsite)

Shift: Standard Morning Shift (Monday - Friday) - 100% onsite 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM PST or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST

Contract Duration: 3-Month To Start (high potential for extension or conversion to FTE)

(Key responsibilities)

● Supports export screening, authorization, and recordkeeping; receive requests from U.S. warehouses, export sales, and

ecommerce for export approval, screen export transactions, and review for approval and/or denials.

Assists in conducting Denied Party Screening on various entities through a third party system.

● Assists in administering Drawback program with outside service provider.

● Oversees freight forwarder activities to ensure compliance with the company's expectations and export regulations.

● Assists with all aspects of the USMCA solicitation process with merchandising and suppliers

● Maintains recordkeeping system for all USMCA documentation to ensure that recordkeeping requirements are satisfied for all required records.

● Receives and allocates invoice charges received from 3rd party service providers.

● Assists in developing, evaluating, maintaining internal export compliance policies, procedures, and resources.

● Assists in providing export compliance outreach via the intranet, training, operations manuals, and audits.

● Proposes and assists in implementing process enhancements in all areas of responsibilities.

● Assists in general department administration including maintaining data, documents, record keeping, files, and logs.

● Participates in developing tools, resources, and training for buying departments.

Must reside in WA as this role is Onsite in Issaquah, WA

● Must have relevant export experience / logistics.

● Must be very comfortable with Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs) and Spreadsheets.

● Must have experience with Denied Party Screening.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Visio, AS400, Filenet.

● Detail oriented with excellent analytical and strong organizational skills.

● Demonstrates problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, and initiative.

● Self-motivated, inquisitive, and able to work in a team environment without close supervision.

● (Highly Preferred) Tariff specialization with strong shipping experience via air, ground, or boat logistics

● (Highly Preferred) Bachelor's Degree

● (Highly Preferred) Import/Export or international supply chain experience

Compensation is tied to the Colorado and Washington markets for jobs performed in Colorado and Washington. Other locations may be subject to variances based on location-related factors.
