Costco Wholesale Corporation is seeking a Data Scientist for its Issaquah, Washington office.
Job Duties: Conduct data analysis by applying statistics, machine learning, and analytic approaches to predict and optimize business outcomes. Design and build ML/DL models to solve business problems. Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data models on an ongoing basis. Identify new data that could enhance the quality and accuracy of models to improve predictions. Communicate results effectively with storytelling and visualization. Perform peer review for another Data Scientists' work. Provide feedback to enhance the testing framework and MLOps (machine learning operations). Extend beyond core data science work to perform data wrangling and data preparation as needed. Telecommuting permitted.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Data Science or a related field. Plus one year of experience in: Solving business problems by applying statistics, machine learning, and analytical approaches; Designing, building, deploying, tuning, and monitoring Machine Learning and Deep Learning models to solve business problems; Utilizing BI reporting and statistical tools; Designing, developing, and implementing data models, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes; and Working with Cloud technologies, SQL and NoSQL databases, and software development.
In lieu of Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Data Science or a related field, plus one year of experience in Solving business problems by applying statistics, machine learning, and analytical approaches; Designing, building, deploying, tuning, and monitoring Machine Learning and Deep Learning models to solve business problems; Utilizing BI reporting and statistical tools; Designing, developing, and implementing data models, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes; and Working with Cloud technologies, SQL and NoSQL databases, and software development, employer will accept three years of experience in: Solving business problems by applying statistics, machine learning, and analytical approaches; Designing, building, deploying, tuning, and monitoring Machine Learning and Deep Learning models to solve business problems; Utilizing BI reporting and statistical tools; Designing, developing, and implementing data models, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes; and Working with Cloud technologies, SQL and NoSQL databases, and software development.
