SanMar Assistant Merchandiser in Issaquah, Washington

At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. What's the Short Version? The Assistant Merchandiser is a support role for the Merchandising team and assigned apparel categories. They are responsible for assisting the Merchandising team by diving into research, completing special projects, and facilitating cross-functional team communication. What Will You Be Doing? Research and analyze competitor offerings, market product, and consumer trends. Conduct analysis of sales history to identify trends and future product opportunities. Create documentation on research findings for consumer and market information and present information to team. Solicit and compile input and feedback from sales team and key accounts. Assist Merchandisers in new product positioning and helps maintain seasonal line plans. Help maintain the line planning, pricing and product creation documentation for a limited product line - including silhouette/style/color plan, fit/sizing vision, flow plan, and pricing strategies. Help resolve process and merchandising issues that arise throughout the season and recommend ways to continually improve process efficiencies. Act as a key merchandising contact to answer questions and facilitate information flow throughout the company. Develop a collaborative working environment with cross-functional teams to aid in product creation communications. Assist in the preparation, coordination, proofing, and execution of sales tools and product presentations (e.g., catalogs, photo samples, sample preparation, meeting set-up, etc.). Responsible for assembling and distributing various product documentation per the calendar and assigned deadlines, including ETA lists, companion list, web spec sheet info, and product feedback recaps. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. What Are We Looking For? Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Design, or related field, or equivalent experience 1-3 years of relevant experience in apparel product related roles Strong business orientation, analytical aptitude, retail math and computer skills Communicate in verbal and written form to effectively and clearly articulate goals and objectives Seek information proactively and work cooperatively in a diverse group Lead and influence others and champion projects using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity Adobe Illustrator experience a plus What's Our Offer? Salary Range: Youll earn between $25.00 - $33.65 on an hourly basis, depending on experience. Bonus: Youll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to $2000 of base salary. Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off. Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.
