The Technical Manager will plan and coordinate all activities associated software development and/or engineering projects in an Agile delivery model for a large enterprise wide EMR deployment. Project will focus on Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and Reporting, Interface development and Release Management. The Technical Manger will ensure projects are completed on time and according to quality standards. Responsible for the employment, training, motivation and evaluation of assigned staff.
Manages software development or engineering directly or through subordinate managers and offers leadership, coaching, and training.
Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
Schedules staff to obtain proper response in a timely manner.
Reviews and prioritizes needs and analyzes project costs and feasibility.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Information Systems, or Healthcare related field, Master’s Degree in healthcare preferred
Experience with electronic health record systems; Cerner
Experience building healthcare interfaces (HIE’s, EMR’s, ancillary systems)
5+ years of experience supporting large Federal Healthcare systems
3-5 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment
5+ years of progressive experience in managing application systems support teams in a distributed computing environment with an emphasis on project management
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with success in meeting budget, timeline, and quality expectations
