Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics Controller in Ilwaco, Washington

Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics is seeking an experienced Full-Time Controller to join our mission-driven, non-profit organization. As a Controller, you will play a key role in the overall management of our Revenue Cycle, overseeing invoice processing, payments, cash management, and payroll support. You will work directly with the Chief Executive Officer on critical financial projects, including budgetary proposals, financial reporting, and operational planning. This position also involves supervising accounting staff and ensuring compliance with hospital procedures and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the organization's financial operations, including accounts payable and cash flow management.
  • Collaborate with the CEO on budget creation, financial projections, and other key projects.
  • Act as the on-site financial leader, liaising with external auditors and managing financial reporting for the hospital.
  • Ensure proper coding of invoices, monitor cash flow, and prepare general ledger journal entries.
  • Foster a culture of financial stewardship and patient-centered care while mentoring your team.

Qualifications:

  • AAS degree in accounting or equivalent experience; a bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of recent accounting experience, with a background in payroll, accounts payable, and healthcare operations, particularly in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience, including project management and cross-functional team facilitation.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills in budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with outsourced Revenue Cycle Management vendors.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with healthcare information systems such as EPIC is a plus.
