Wastren Advantage Container Maintenance Field Work Supervisor in Hanford, Washington

Maintain the ERDF RO/RO containers, IDF ILAW Pallets in accordance with the Contract requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the active and inactive RO/RO container inventories.

  • Coordinates with various Hanford Site waste generators for the replacement of RO/RO containers that are in need of maintenance and/or repair.

  • Designates a RO/RO container as active, inactive, or out of service (OOS) as well as designation of a RO/RO container as a specialty of closed-loop container.

  • Oversees inspection, maintenance and repair of ILAW Pallets.

  • Provides Field Work Supervision for Container Maintenance Facility.

  • Performs assessments & surveillances to ensure container maintenance and repair activities comply with contract and regulatory requirements.

  • Procures and maintains critical container maintenance facility spare parts/supplies.

  • Understanding of principles, concepts and techniques utilized to maintain facilities on a DOE site.

  • Understanding of the environmental regulations related to the operations of facilities.

  • Understanding of CPCCo work control process.

  • Will be required to obtain a CPCCo FWS Qual Card.

  • Understanding of DOE-0336 Hanford Site Lockout/Tagout.

  • Present MODOs and other safety topics during the POD.

  • Skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks independently, and to analyze and develop innovative solutions to problems.

  • Cross train with the other field work supervisors to support waste disposal operations, facility maintenance, equipment maintenance and IDF duties as needed.

  • Be familiar with and assist the Equipment FWS with Fleet Maintenance Pro.

  • Coordinates with the Site superintendent to develop the Plan of the Week.

  • Fills in For Site Superintendent as needed.

Accountabilities:

This position will be accountable to ensure that the RO/RO containers and ILAW Pallets are maintained, and repaired in a timely manner to ensure there are enough containers to meet the Hanford Sites waste generator needs.

Work Environment:

This is a field position primarily working inside the Container Maintenance Facility with some outdoor duties providing guidance to the Crafts. There is some work in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to work extensively in indoor/outdoor environments. Also able to utilize a keyboard and similar equipment typically found in an office environment. In addition, this position requires the following:

  • Lift up to 30 pounds without assistance using appropriate safety and lifting methods.

  • Ability to work in harsh outdoor environments, including snow, rain, ice, and muddy conditions

Education & Certifications:

Minimum of a High School diploma.
