What You'll Do As the Lead Accounting Assistant for our Fixed Assets Accounting Team, you will provide support to our operating companies across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Northern California. You'll be responsible for supporting the accounting for the company's fixed assets, reconciling fuel inventory, and preparing fuel tax documents. Each day will provide you with new problems to solve, and you'll be empowered to find new and creative solutions. Wage: $30.00 - $35.00 / hr DOE Location: This is an in-office position located in Spokane Valley with the potential for a hybrid work schedule (WFH 1 day/week), following a training period. Shift: Monday - Friday; 8 hours/day. Occasional overtime as needed during month-end weeks. What You Can Do To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • You have demonstrated professional accounting experience, such as journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, or fixed asset accounting.
  • You possess intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including an understanding of the creation and application basic formulas (VLOOK, SUMIF, IFERROR) as well as the ability to analyze data through the creation and use of pivot tables.
  • You have strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail, allowing you to effectively identify patterns and discrepancies, and analyze and validate financial data.
  • You have strong organizational and time management skills, enabling you to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines efficiently.
  • You're eager to learn and take proactive measures to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them to your work.
  • A current authorization to work in the United States and can pass pre-employment controlled-substance testing. Per RCW 49.44.240 this position has been identified by the employer as non-safety sensitive and will be subject to an employer-required pre-employment drug screening that does not include testing for nonpsychoactive cannabis metabolites. This position is not eligible for current or future sponsorship for employment visa status.
