We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and facility structures. This role focuses on mechanical troubleshooting and repairs while following all company and safety regulations. As an entry-level position, you will receive hands-on training to build your skills and advance within the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on mechanical repairs and basic preventative maintenance on equipment, facility structures, and exterior grounds under the guidance of leadership.

• Conduct inspections and minor repairs on conveyors, motors, belts, bearings, pumps, and gearboxes to ensure optimal operation.

• Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems .

• Support routine inspections and maintenance of refrigeration systems under the direction of experienced technicians.

• Follow manufacturer and company guidelines to perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

• Use hand and power tools to fabricate, repair, and install parts as needed.

• Operate cutting torches and welding equipment for basic metal repair and fabrication.

• Utilize motorized lifts and rental equipment as needed for maintenance tasks.

• Complete other mechanical maintenance tasks as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

• Basic experience or trade school training in mechanical maintenance, industrial equipment repair, or related fields preferred.

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical components with training and supervision.

• Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment .

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance tasks.

• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including:

• Cold storage temperatures as low as -20°F (-25°C) or dry storage up to 100°F (37°C) (PPE provided).

• Lifting 50 lbs. (23 kg) or more as required.

• Working at heights and around loud equipment where applicable.

• Flexible work schedule, including potential weekend shifts.

Pay Range:$17.45 - $29.47
