YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties Music Instructor - Piano in Gig Harbor, Washington
The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a *Music Instructor *to join our team!

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The Music Instructor provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for music program participants, ensuring a quality experience to students and parents.

Key Responsibilities
- Developing lesson plans
- Demonstrating sound, technical and artistic principles
- Providing an impactful experience to students
- Monitoring student progress
- Communicating program information to students and parents
Are you a good fit?
- You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- You have 5 years of formal music training (preferred).
- You have 1-2 years of experience as a music teacher and/or teaching assistant.
- You are able to instruct beginning and intermediate level music classes

- You are excited to teach music classes for ages preschool through adult.
- You have a positive attitude and previous experience with varying ages and diverse populations.
- You firmly believe that the arts should be open to everyone regardless of artistic ability, experience, or financial circumstance.
You are able and willing to take Child Abuse prevention on the first day as well as other online and in-person trainings as required.
*Wages: *$16.28 to $18.28 per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
