Matrix Service Field Planning Manager in Ferndale, Washington

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Schedule, coordinate, and supervise Superintendents and General Foreman. This may involve supervising one or more trade groups (electricians, industrial maintenance mechanics, heavy equipment operators, carpenters, labors etc.) working in maintenance and turnaround disciplines (catalyst, exchangers, and equipment repair).

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its "Core Values".

  • Plan and supervise Superintendent activities. Determining maintenance methodologies, safety procedures, requirements, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and status updates to the client.

  • Coordinate assigned work with different crafts, departments, or contractors.

  • Maintain liaison with the safety, engineering, estimating, material control, purchasing, quality control, engineering and planning departments to ensure work complies with safety policies, drawings, specifications, schedule. and ensure all required materials, equipment and inspections support craft activities and project schedule.

  • Assist in resolving maintenance, turnaround problems, and safety issues as required.

  • Conducts accident investigations with the safety department as required.

  • Assist the Human Resource Department in maintaining communications to resolving personnel issues of requisitioning required manpower.

  • Monitor craft compliance with safety program requirements. Document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.

  • Conducts field safety audits as required.

  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

  • Assist in the development and review of the maintenance and turnaround task list, resource requirements, execution plans, and overall maintenance/turnaround completion.

  • Good communication skills both verbal and with a computer.

  • Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working in the trade being supervised and experience working as a Craft Superintendent, advanced understanding

of maintenance and turnaround technology, methods, equipment, tools, and processes required. Advanced understanding of our commitment to safety, QA/QC, and pertinent requirements. Must possess knowledge and have a good understanding of Matrix policies and procedures. Complete Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and Client / Site specific training. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the required drug testing program. Must pass a background check. TWIC card required

Verification of 8,000 craft related hours. Graduated journeyperson status preferred.

Washington law requires pay information in job postings. The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is shown below. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.

Hiring range: $65.17 to 79.03 per hour

Full range for this position, available over time: $65.17.00 to $79.03 per hour
