Pay rate: $50/hr on W2

Job Description:

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our dynamic team supporting FastTrack Engineering @ Microsoft. If you’re selected for this role, you will drive an initiative to incorporate AI and LLM technologies into Microsoft 365 migration experiences.

You’ll use your understanding of IT admin pain-points to interpret reports, review feedback, and define enhancements to these experiences with internal subject matter experts and product owners. You’ll then use your program and people management skills to lead a team of content writers, designers, and developers as they deliver those enhancements. You’ll champion quality, consistency, and process adherence. And you’ll share monthly insights and metrics on how these experiences perform.

About the team:

Our mission is to develop self-service in-product experiences to reduce deployment friction for a customer, accelerating time to value realization to drive growth while driving down costs of onboarding support. The self-service in-product user experiences and automation assets include advanced deployment guides (wizards), chatbots, and automation tools. Some of the experiences this team has can be viewed on setup.cloud.microsoft, and others live directly within the Microsoft 365 admin center. You’ll be involved in creating experiences that are used by 100K+ IT admins yearly, and be exposed to cutting-edge work in AI, LLMs, and Microsoft Copilot. Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure implementation of content, design, and software development policies and practices.

  2. Ensure features, user stories, and tasks in Azure dev ops are updated regularly.

  3. Lead Agile ceremonies, giving insight into QA dependencies and reporting progress as needed.

  4. Create PowerPoint presentations.

  5. Request and interpret Power BI reports.

Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated ability to critique user experience, software, and app interface design.

  2. Proven experience in driving process efficiencies through automated tools and best practices.

  3. Experience in executing multiple migrations / upgrades of enterprise level applications across multiple business units and / or geographies. (For example: Exchange/Outlook, SharePoint, Teams/Skype, Lotus Notes, HCM suites, Financial suites).

  4. Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical.

  5. Degree or certificates in Computer Science, Project Management, or equivalent experience.

Key Skills:

  1. Understanding an IT admin’s journey with Microsoft 365, from product/trial purchase to the respective admin center, to deployment and end-user adoption and reducing the number of decisions the admin needs to make.

  2. Ability to apply experiences from previous migrations to new customer efforts to anticipate and / or mitigate potential issues, roadblocks, etc.

  3. Ability to demonstrate applied knowledge of migration scheduling policies, migration batch files, scripting, migration scheduling best practices.

  4. Effectively communicating timelines.

  5. Coordinating work across writers, designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver commitments.

  6. Remain highly adaptable - due to the turbulent nature of priorities in supporting customers, this role requires high adaptability to changing demands, deadlines, and priorities.
