We are actively looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. As part of the Accounting Group, the Senior Accountant will lead the monthly reporting, month-end close process, account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, audits and assist with other accounting tasks as required by management. Their role will also include leading the accounting processes for leases and joint ventures. Responsible for accounting for joint ventures and some lease accounting in accordance with ASC842. Lead the month-end close process Lead general ledger reconciliations Lead preparation of journal entries Preparation and review of internal monthly financial reports Perform financial analysis and identify trends and variances Compiles consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, equity statement and cash flow statements Engage in financial audit and assist in audit report preparation including disclosures, as needed Compiles financial report and ad hoc reports for quarterly board reporting package Improves and enhances processes and controls Assist with other accounting and finance related tasks, as necessary Other duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business; required Minimum 8+ years of accounting experiences in public and/or private industry, including lease accounting experience; required Strong knowledge in accounting process and procedure, and internal controls Strong knowledge of GAAP/General Accepted Accounting Principals Knowledge/experience with FAR overhead (preferred but not required) Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Self-motivated Availability and willingness to travel All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire Base salary range: $100,000 to $132,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.
