Weekly Gross Pay = $680

Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $17

Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $1141 (Hotel-805 Meals-336)

Total Weekly ($1141 is not taxed)= $1821

Feels like per hour = $45.525

$1821 div 40 hours = $45.525

Job Summary:

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a school setting in Washington. The LPN will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students and staff, supporting the health and well-being of the school community, and collaborating with school nurses and administrators to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to students and staff for illness, injury, and chronic health conditions

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

  • Perform health screenings and assessments to monitor students' health status

  • Assist with managing students with special health needs and developing individualized healthcare plans

  • Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices

  • Collaborate with school nurses, teachers, and administrators to support students' health and wellness

  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation

  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed

  • Participate in school safety and emergency preparedness plans

  • Stay current on best practices in school nursing and healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State LPN license

  • Experience working as an LPN in a school or pediatric setting preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school environment

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school health services

  • CPR and First Aid certification

Qualified for travel rate if permanent residence is 50+ miles away
