Summary

The Contract Account Manager will support the organization via a strong understanding of the Soundpath Health provider network contracting strategy related to the development, management and maintenance of market competitive provider/facility agreements. They will lead and manage negotiations and achieve favorable contract terms. They will manage the provider contracting process from service delivery planning through implementation, including ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

They will coordinate the provider contracting activities in conjunction with strategic goals, business and marketing plans. Develops and manages contractual relationships with providers. Additionally they will partner with Provider Relations to ensure contract and program compliance from network providers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. With Oversight from the Director of Network Management/Provider Relations, acts as the lead negotiator for assigned groups (i.e. proposal development and execution) in the Soundpath Health service area (facilities, multi-specialty groups, ancillary, professional services, etc.)

  2. Authors the contract document and ensures the complete and appropriate Soundpath Health implementation of contractual arrangements, in accordance with payment policies and business system requirements

  3. Advanced working knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies, including value based arrangements, advanced payment methodologies, quality improvement and risk arrangements

  4. Strong analytical skills related to medial expense and utilization; working knowledge and impacts of RAF and MLR

Qualifications

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of healthcare experience with at least 3 years healthcare/medical/insurance contract negotiations experience

  • Knowledge of contract language, legal terminology, reimbursement methodologies (i.e. FFS, Per Case/Per Diem, DRGs, Capitation, Value Based Arrangements, P4P, APMs, RAF, MLR, etc.), local rate structures, health care terminology and managed care practices

  • Knowledge of continuous process improvement techniques and P&P development

  • Understanding of CMS regulatory requirements, including reporting requirements, application processes, and HSD tables

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to write clearly and concisely and be proficient in public speaking

  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated with strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Experience with PIMS and QNXT software preferred,but not required
